EDUCATION
When asked, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” I always knew how to answer. “I want to teach!” my response was from a young age. In 2001 I earned my undergrad degree from Oakland University. Since then I obtained my Masters Degree from Marygrove College and have taken additional courses to better myself and gain knowledge to positively impact my students. EXPERIENCE It is with enthusiasm that I begin my 20th year of teaching. I feel immensely blessed to work at West Middle School! West truly is best! I love interacting with children and young people. My background includes being a youth minister, along with teaching swim lessons, religious education classes, and summer school. I am passionate about my career and love what I do. EXTRA-CURRICULAR When I’m not checking papers or creating lesson plans, I like to spend time with friends and family. I have been married to my husband, Mark, since 2002 and we have three beautiful, smart children. They keep us busy, but we love it! We enjoy weekend get-aways where my time is often spent behind the camera. I enjoy photography and digital scrapbooking. |
MeredithThe baby of our family, Meredith, will be nine in October and is in 3rd grade. Our dancer is full of sass and has a personality. Her teachers describe her as a leader and their helper. She loves scrunchees, accessorizing, and attention! She is all girl!
