Extra Credit Assignment Requirements
Once each quarter, students are able to turn in one extra credit assignment. It must be turned in at least one full week before the quarter's end. In order to receive credit, the extra credit can only pertain to concepts learned in the current quarter.
The assignment requirements are as follows:
OPTION 1
Have someone take a picture of you using math that you learned this quarter. Include a typed write-up explaining how the math is being used and what module and section it pertains to. Be specific and detailed in your writing. Write about the the mathematical concepts and numbers you computed. Show the question, the work and the final answer. The math needs to be something "real world" (not homework from my class) ex. Measurement = Building a Bird House, Fractions = doubling a muffing recipe, Percent Discount = Making a purchase at a store.
OPTION 2
Students can create a video that teaches a concept that we've learned during this quarter. It can include a song or rap, it can be computer generated or created with a video camera. It should be at least 1 minute in length, but can be longer.
